Aurora is a large city located in the Denver Metropolitan Area, a.k.a. or Denver Metro, in the state of Colorado in the United States and is near the Rocky Mountains. Located in Arapahoe County, Aurora is bordered by the city of Denver to the west and the cities of Centennial and Greenwood Village to the south. Aurora is located about 10 miles (16 kilometers) east of Denver and is the third most populous city in Colorado.

Aurora is known for its diverse population, cultural attractions, and outdoor recreational opportunities. Landmarks include Aurora Municipal Center, the Aurora History Museum, and the Del Mar Park. Some other notable landmarks in the area include the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and the Denver Zoo.
The city itself has over 80 parks and recreational facilities. This includes the Aurora Reservoir, which offers opportunities for boating, fishing, and other water sports.
